Who are they? Where are they?

Part 1: Who are they? Where are they?

Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-4, Luke 4:18, Matthew 28 + Mark 16
Has the present day church lost sight of what making disciples involves and looks like? Do we truly understand what it means to be a biblical, Christ following disciple ourselves? During this message we will endeavour to briefly look at the two fold aspects of the mission of the Messiah as prophesied by Isaiah in Chapter 61:1-4, fulfilled in Christ in Luke 4:18 and its continuation with the great commissioning of the church in Matthew 28 and Mark 16. Then from these chapters and verses, compare the condition and beliefs of the present day church.

Who Are You Becoming? Part 2

Part 19: Who Are You Becoming? Part 2

Scripture: Romans 12:1-2
It can be easy to look at the future with rose-colored glasses. After all, everything is better in the future. You have a deeper relationship with God in the future. You are a better spouse in the future. You’re a better parent in the future. And that can be true! However, these things do not just happen. There are decisions that undergird their success. The secret of your becoming or unbecoming is in your DAILY ROUTINES.

He Who Upholds Everything - Part 2

Part 15: He Who Upholds Everything - Part 2

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:11
Whether we look up at the night sky and observe the universe in all its splendour. Take notice of the mountains, hills and fields that surround us and marvel at their forms and colours. Or look into the eyes of someone we love and imagine the depth of complexity that goes into producing such a wondrous and beautiful creation. Do we ever stop to consider what and who underpins every molecule that goes towards holding everything that we can see together. In this message we are going to look at Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega, the Rock of our salvation upon which all that was made exists, rests and is built upon.

When You See Him Part 2

Part 13: When You See Him Part 2

Scripture: 2 Tim. 3:14-15; Heb. 5:12-14; 1Tim 4:7-9
An important element of the study of the Word is, the Word grant you 2 things: Knowledge - I know, I know I’m born again, I’m a son/daughter of God etc. Skillfulness - a function of consistent exposure to the knowledge. Paul in 2Tim 3:14 told Timothy “To continue”. Continue here meaning to “dwell” “abide”, to be steadfast at something and to be consistent at it. That consistency grants you a skill. Skilful meaning to relate with the Word from a more experiential point of view. UnSkilful meaning by not exercising yourself. Heb. 5:12-14.
